   Depending on the lifetime you're looking for, you may also be able to get away with recrystalized silicon carbide, which will save you some money. If your atmosphere is not oxidizing, a stabilized Zirconia may be your best choice.

   For the other answers, Fused Silica has a use limit of 1000 C when not fully supported. It is also porous.

   BeO has a use limit to 1900 C, but it will react with water vapor above 1000 C. It is also extremely toxic to a percentage of the population, so handling it requires special care.

   Don't forget that melting points aren't everything. In high temperature applications creep plays a huge role. All metals creep well below their melting temperature, which can cause all sorts of headaches.

   Yeah I use to have that problem. It only does that when you don't dry it with a hair dyer. When you do that then use the hair straightner.Make sure to wash your hair before with shampoo and conditioner. It should end up to be your dream hair.
